The occurrence of fine cracking and cracking is caused by the stress of the paint film being greater than the strength of the coating. Fine cracking is caused by the stress on the surface of the coating, while cracking is caused by the stress between the paint film and the substrate. The later the paint film is, the greater the stress in the paint film is, relatively thick paint film and temperature changes, it will cause the cracking of the paint film on the surface of the oil tank!
The third kind of situation is mud crack, mud crack has quick crack, this kind of crack is mostly produced in the construction of thick paint film with high pigment filler. The cracking of this defect is more common in the inner corner where the ventilation is not particularly smooth, and the phenomenon of cracking often occurs when water-based coatings and inorganic zinc silicate-rich coatings are of high seasoning type. Cracking is also an immediate reaction. Solvent or water will volatilize and dry out from the paint. This is the reason for the high pigment base ratio. When cracking occurs, the anticorrosive coating on the surface of the oil tank will lose adhesion, resulting in the failure of the anticorrosive layer. In this case, the coating must be re-coated after all the coatings are removed!
